Wesleyan's soccer team earned the sixth seed in the Western Division of the USA South Women's Soccer Playoffs. This is only the second time in school history that the Wolves have made the playoffs, with last year being the first. This will also mark the first time Head Coach Seth Semones has earned a spot in the playoffs as a head coach.
The Wolves' soccer season came to an end on October 30th with a 2-1 loss to Piedmont College in the first round of the USA South Conference Championships. Senior goalie Carlee Dykes finished the match with 14 saves putting her at a total of 181 saves for the season, making her the leader in
Wesleyan's conference and 12th overall in NCAA DIII
rankings.
The soccer program added nine new players to the roster for the 2019 season. "This group of incoming players brought energy and talent to the team that the returning players paired with their experience and leadership to help turn the program in the direction we are striving for," said Coach Semones.
The Wolves will graduate three seniors from the team and plan to return almost all of the athletes from this year's roster. The future continues to look very bright for Wesleyan soccer. Congratulations on a great season!
